Liberty Fabrics was established in London in 1875 by Arthur Lasenby Liberty. The carefully sourced cotton from Lake Tana in Ethiopia became the foundation for Liberty Tana Lawn, displaying fantastic patterns from hand-carved woodcuts with a palette of breathtaking colour. Today Liberty of London’s uncompromising quality continues to produce this iconic fabric which achieves a soft, silky feel due to its ultra-fine weave and wonderfully sublime balance of body and drape.
