When we found this powerful image from the 1800s in a library archive, we actually gasped with delight! At once strong and soft, bold and romantic, we couldn’t help but be swept away. The antique lithograph depicts two figures locked in an embrace, with the arm of one and the face of the other forming a heart. Honestly we’d never seen anything like it :) We did extensive reconstruction on the image, adding doves flying out from a crescent moon in the sky, and the swirling galaxy below. Lastly, we included the words “Amor Vincit Omnia”, which translates from Latin as “Love Conquers All”. And we truly believe that it does.
